Recall: Nissan Quest 2011-2012 Minivans

Posted on

According to news sources, a recall has been announced for about 23,500 units of 2011-2012 Nissan Quest minivans due to issues involving a potentially faulty fuel system that could result in the recalled vehicle stalling while in use.

The recall was announced by the company, Nissan North America, after it was found that the vehicle may stall at slow speeds when driven with less than one-quarter of the fuel tank full, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. The recalled vehicle models have an error in the software of the fuel pump control module. The recalled vehicles were reportedly manufactured from July 2010 through February 2012.

Those with the recalled vehicles will be notified by the company to take them to their local dealer for a free reprogramming of the of the fuel pump module.
