According to news sources, a recall has been issued for Safeway Snack Artist Sugar Free Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Cookes after it was found that the product contained undeclared milk and egg allergens, which can cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if consumed by people with allergy to either milk or egg products. The recalled products come in 10 oz. tubs, include a lot number L07112B and have a Best By date of 07/11/12.

The company, D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Co., issued the recall after the improper label was identified.

There have been no reported illnesses to date associated with the consumption of the recalled product.
