Recall: General Foam Plastic Holiday Tree Set Due To Fire Hazard

According to news sources, a recall has been issued for about 1,000 Brookfield Entry Way Tree Sets after it was found that the battery box used to power the wreath can overhead, thereby posing a fire hazard. The recalled decorative set is only sold at True Value Hardware stores.

The company, General Foam Plastic Corp, has announced the recall of a decorative set which includes two 4 feet trees that come in black metal vases, a 24-inch wide wreath as well as a 9-foot long garland. The battery box that powers the lighting on the wreath can reportedly overpower are pose a fire hazard.

There have been no reports of injury to date.
