Motor Coach Issues a Recall for 1,962 Vehicles

Posted on November 2, 2011

There was a vehicle recall released from Motor Coach Industries, Inc related to the models E and J from the year 2003 and 2007 to 2012. According to the news the company has stated that the main issue with these vehicles is that the body roll and road inclination characteristics may affect the slip angle calculation of the main electronic stability control, known as ESC system.

Depending on the road and specially on the driving conditions the car is under, an over steering situation may occur making it difficult for the driver to stabilize the vehicle.

If the driver is too slow to react during the ESC intervention, there can be many consequences that lead to the crash of the vehicle.

The company will notify owners of the recall and offer the replacement of the control module without any charge. Any doubts regarding the recall should be addressed to the company or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety hotline (1-800-241-2947).
