Molly Trolley Buses Being Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

Posted on November 16, 2011

According to early morning News, the Molly Corporation has issued a recall for their Molly Trolley vehicles. The 2006 and 2007 models of transit buses allegedly built on Freightliner and Ford chassis, have presented a few issues with their electrical air conditioner equipment.

According to the company, the fuse used in the carrier genvem-1 evaporator units will loosen with time. That may result in arcing and high resistance. Whenever arcing happens to the vehicle, the fuse holder poses a melting risk. Fire can be the fatal consequence of that issue.

Since the ramifications of this malfunction can be disastrous, the recall was made necessary.

The company is contacting the owners of the recalled buses so the correction can be executed and the parts that should be exchanged may be safely installed.

As a Los Angeles bus accident lawyer I hope that no accidents will happen to anybody riding or driving these malfunctioning buses. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline can be contacted if you have any doubts regarding this recall.
