Disney-branded plastic tracks recalled

Posted on November 1, 2011

News reports have stated that the toy manufacturer Kiddieland Toys Limited had to issue a recall of about 12,000 Disney Fairies Plastic Racing Trikes.

After the reports regarding a 3-year-old girl allegedly suffering from a laceration near her right eye, the company investigated the case thoroughly. It was noticed that the fairy figures made of plastic can be projected from the handle bar turning the toy into a laceration hazard in case a child falls on top of them while playing.

The company has reported that parents should take the toy away from their children immediately. If you own this product, contact Kiddieland for a corrected free replacement handlebar that contains an enclosed rotating display free of charge.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is still open to receive all the reports of injuries related to the product and urges consumers to contact them right away in case they have word of any injuries.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I believe that children’s safety is a priority. We must be alert when our kids are playing with a new toy. In the unfortunate case of a toy playing a major role in the injury of your child, don’t hesitate to call a personal injury lawyer to assist you with the case
