Chrysler Issues Recall For 2012 Fiat 500 and Dodge Journey

Posted on November 23, 2011

According to various news sources, Fiat and Dodge are issuing recalls due to the bad brake fluids present in some of their vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recalled the 2012 Fiat 500 and the Dodge Journey after the Chrysler Motor Corp. was known to have manufactured vehicles with contaminated brake fluid. This issue may lead to the losing of stopping leverage, which may cause the vehicle to crash.

The reports from the federal agency show that the issue may cause severe risks of collisions since the lack of a working braking fluid can cause the seals to fail. That will delay the response from the vehicle’s brake.

Preventable crashes may be the result of owners being oblivious to this recall, according to the authorities. Chrysler has announced they will be notifying all owners to take their vehicles to the nearest dealer so the brake components and brake fluid may be completely reinstalled for free.
