Recall Issued for Rice-A-Roni Rice Pilaf Flavour, possible Milk Allergen

Posted on November 9, 2011

According to reports from the FDA and the company Rice-A-Roni, there’s a recall being issued to a family-size box of Rice-A-Roni Rice Pilaf flavor due to a possible milk allergen.

News reports show that the recalled product was distributed to stores in California and Arizona and contrary to what’s labeled, the contents of the packages include milk. People that may be seriously allergic to milk may suffer life-threatening risks by consuming this product without warning.

Consumers who have bought the 10.8 ounce boxes of Rice-A-Roni Rice Pilaf favor with the Best Before Date of JUL 30 12 B stamp and the UPC Bar Code with the ending 43004 should return the product immediately.

The FDA announced that the company is in constant contact with the officials so they may secure consumers’ health by acting in a timely manner regarding this issue.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I hope that all consumers who might have already used some of the recalled product did not have any severe allergic reaction. Hopefully the FDA along with the company will be extremely proficient in solving this issue.
