Prepackaged sandwich products are being recalled by Nike All-American sandwiches after it was discovered they may be potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to recent news sources.
The sandwiches affected by this recall are distributed by Landshire Inc., based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are 7.25 ounces each, with a UPC code of 0 9748801741 5. A lot number of 11 237 6 is imprinted on the label.
The sandwiches in question were reportedly sold exclusively in Alaska.
No illnesses have been reported, but individuals should not consume this product. Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause severe and in some cases life-threatening infections in some people. Especially at risk are young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.
