LACBA Barristers President Robert Glassman To Give Farewell Address

Posted on June 22, 2016

Following a successful year as Barristers President, Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP attorney Robert Glassman will give his farewell address and welcome his successor during the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) 2016 Installation & Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Glassman was installed as Barristers President in June 2015 and invited LACBA members 35 years old and younger, and those admitted to practice for five years or less, to “show up” and become a part of the Barristers Section professional and business development network.

As the Barristers Year-in-Review video demonstrates, Glassman’s call to action was a success as members shared in the many opportunities available for young attorneys, including an evening at the new Hall of Justice with Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell, coverage in publications such as the Hollywood Reporter, Daily Journal and Los Angeles Lawyer magazine as well as mingled with local, state and federal judiciary during events such as the Bench Meets Bar cocktail reception.

“The Barristers had a terrific year. We accomplished a lot and made lasting relationships,” Mr. Glassman said. “It was an honor to represent the interests of the new and young lawyers in the Los Angeles legal community this year.”

Active in LACBA Barristers since his first year as a lawyer, Robert Glassman joined Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP in 2009 following his graduation from Southwestern Law School where he served as president of the student body and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine since 2013 and in 2016, was selected as one of the “Up-and-Coming 100 Southern California Rising Stars”—the list of lawyers who ranked at the top of the Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list.

LACBA’s 2016 Installation & Awards Dinner will be held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with a reception beginning at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m. For tickets or more information, please call LACBA Member Services at 213-896-6560 or register online at www.lacba.org/2016installation.
