4,532 Vehicles Recalled By Ford Over Windshield Visibility Issue

Posted on January 20, 2014

E-450, E-350, E-250, and E-150 vehicles of the 2011 model year are being recalled by the Ford Motor Company over concerns that visibility could be diminished.  On 4,532 vehicles, there is a chance that a driver’s ability to view the road would be impeded due to bubbles within the windshield.  This problem, which is apparently the result of a manufacturing issue, can manifest when the vehicles are in the midst of hot weather for an extended period of time.  If a driver can’t properly see the road, he or she could be involved in a crash.  The recall is supposed to start by this coming Sunday, and at that time, owners will receive contact from Ford.  Free replacement of affected parts will be carried out by dealers as necessary.
