Circo Children’s Stools Recalled By Target Due to Collapse Risk

Posted on October 29, 2013

Target has announced the recall of sitting stools manufactured by the Culver City, California-based L. Powell Acquisition Corporation.  An estimated 69,000 stools from the Chloe & Conner Collection and under the Circo brand are affected by the recall, and each would have been sold at Target retailers across the country between April of last year and this past June.  A crack can reportedly form in the stabilizing bar of the products, and if a child is sitting on the stool when that happens, he or she could fall and be injured.  Seven incidents, five of which involved minor injuries, have been reported at this time.  Owners are being asked to not allow kids to sit on the stools; instead, parents should bring the products back to Target to get their money back.
