Choking Hazard Prompts Recall of Stuffed Sulley’s From Build-a-Bear

Posted on August 29, 2013

A possible choking risk has led to the recall of stuffed animals in the shape of Sulley from Monsters University and Monsters Inc.  Build-a-Bear announced the recall, which affects products sold via their online and retail stores this past June.  A total of more than 26,000 stuffed monsters in Canada and the United States are being recalled.  These products are in danger of losing their eyes, and if a child were to get ahold of the detached eye, he or she could choke on it.  No such incidents have been reported at this time, and to ensure future safety, owners are being asked to exchange the stuffed animal for a different Build-a-Bear stuffed toy.
