Kroger’s Break ‘N Bake Cookie Dough Recalled Over Allergen Risk

Posted on August 26, 2013

Break ‘N Bake chocolate chip cookie dough under the Kroger’s brand is being recalled by ConAgra foods due to a product mixup that could pose an undeclared allergen hazard.  Though the labels of the 16 ounce products suggest that the chocolate chip version of the item is inside, there’s a chance that some of them actually contain peanut butter cup cookie dough, thus endangering those persons who are allergic to peanuts.  The recall affects products with a November 24, 2013 use by date that were available in California and 25 other states.  The dough was sold at Ralph’s, Food 4 Less, and other retailers.  Concerned persons can bring the items back for a refund.
