5,000 Wegmans Toy Sets Recalled Over Possible Choking Threat

Posted on August 9, 2013

The Holgate Toy Division of the Pepperell, Massachusetts-based Pepperell Braiding Company has announced the recall of playmat sets only available at Wegmans grocers.    These sets, which contain four wooden vehicles, were available across the country between October of last year and this past June.  The 5,000 or so products being recalled have wheels that can fall off.  If a child then attempts to swallow these wheels, he or she could choke.  One detachment report has been filed, but that thankfully did not lead to an injury.  Owners are being asked to remove these toys from their children’s possession and bring them to Wegmans to get their money back.
