3,350 Manager’s Chairs Recalled By Staples Due to Breakage Risk

Posted on July 16, 2013

The Framingham, Massachusetts-based Staples has announced the recall of Bermond Fabric Manager’s Chairs due to a potential fall threat posed.  On 3,350 of these five-wheeled chairs, a breakage of the base is a possibility, a condition that could lead the user to sustain a painful fall.  41 incidents have already been reported, with three falls and one set of injuries already known to the company.  The chairs were available form Staples, the Medical Arts Press, and Quill from July 2011 to May of this year.  Owners are being advised not to sit on the chairs but to instead get in touch with Staples to learn how to take back the item.
