The “It Can Wait” campaign from AT & T has the backing of another community. In Jackson, Tennessee, local businesses and the local police department have given their support. The campaign hopes to combat the reported 24% of vehicular crashes and accidents that were caused by drivers who were distracted by their cellphones in 2010. Even the police chief publicly admitted to texting while driving. He signed the pledge and encouraged others to do the same.
