691 ZAP Xebra Motorcycles Recalled for Potential Brake Defect

By Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer on August 7, 2012

ZAP Xebra motorcycles of the 2008 model year are being recalled by ZAP, the United States agent of the QinqQi Group Motorcycle Company.  691 units in total could be compromised by a failure to adhere to federal standards regarding brake systems in motorcycles.  The brake circuits do not have their own separate brake fluid reservoir, which might allow fluid to travel between the circuits.  This interconnectedness could lead to complete leakage if a leak occurs in one circuit, thus reducing braking ability.  Owners will receive a free repair kit from ZAP.
