Recall: Honda 2012 Crosstour and Accord Due to Faulty Air Bag

Posted on February 7, 2012

According to news sources, a recall has been issued for about 350 units of 2012 model year Honda Accord and Honda Crosstour vehicles due to issues relating to the side curtain air bag inflators not working correctly and potentially failing to deploy if the vehicle is involved in a collision.

The recall was issued by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after it was discovered that the drivers or passenger side airbag inflator may not function according to specification, possibly failing to deploy in case of collision. The company is expected to begin notifying consumers about the recall starting Feb. 10.

Those with the recalled vehicle models will receive a replacement of the faulty side curtain air bags free of charge. To learn more about the recalled vehicles and how to receive the free replacement, contact the company directly at 800-424-9153.
