Honeywell Surround Select Portable Electric Heaters Recalled Due to Burn Hazard

According to news sources, Kaz USA Inc., has announced the voluntary recall of its Honeywell Surround Select Portable Electric Heaters after it was found that the products internal housing can potentially detach, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

The recall of about 19,000 heater units was announced by the company in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to the internal components inside the heater detaching and posing a burn hazard as a result. The recalled heaters have model numbers HZ-420, HZ-430, and HZ-440, with the words “Honeywell” and “Surround Heat” reportedly printed on the front of the product.

There have been no injuries reported to date.
