Recall: Target Circo Children Suitcases Due To Excessive Lead Level

Posted on December 22, 2011

According to news sources, about 139,000 have been recalled after it was found that they contained excessive levels of lead, which violates existing federal safety standards.

The company, Target Corp, has announced the recall in cooperation with The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after it was found that the surface coating of the recalled suitcases contained excessive levels of lead. The recalled children suitcases are Circo girls’ 17” travel case – pink or teal and Circo boys’ 17” travel case – red or blue with UPC Numbers 618842135844 and 618842135868 respectively.

The children suitcases have been sold at Target stores nationwide for about $21.

Consumers with the recalled suitcases should take them away from children immediately and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund. Consumers can also contact the company at 800-440-0680 for questions or concerns.
