Pampered Chef Ice Cream Scoops Recalled

Posted on December 20, 2011

According to news sources, a recall has been issued for Pampered Chef ice cream scoops after reports that the product can cause impact injury to consumers due to seals and caps that can potentially “fly off with substantial force”.

The recalled product is an ice cream dipper that is filled with a non-toxic liquid that is intended to conduct heat from the hand to the handle to create easier ice cream scooping. The scoopers however have caps and seals that can “fly off” and cause impact injury to consumers. There have already been six reports of injury resulting from the use of the product. The recalled scoopers have “Pampered Chef” printed on them. They have a retail price of about $15.

The recalled product has been sold online through the company website from July 2010 through September 2010

Consumers with the recalled product should stop using it immediately and contact at 877 917-2433 the company at for a full refund.
