Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc., in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, has issued a recall for their chicken breast products that may be undercooked, according to news sources.
Approximately 360 pounds of the breaded chicken breast product are being recalled. The products would have been sold to consumers at deli counter, so the original branding would not have been known to consumers. The product was distributed to Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota stores in five pound cases on September 13. Each case contained 10 pieces of chickens bearing the name “Chef’s Collection Chicken Milanese Breast.”
No illnesses have been reported yet. The company has instructed consumers to throw away the chicken.
