Jackson Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against AEG Live

Posted on September 16, 2010

The family of Michael Jackson has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live because the proceedings against Dr. Conrad Murray fail to encompass the totality of circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.  The family, represented by Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP’s own Brian Panish, alleges that the concert promoter was more concerned about profiting off the tour than they were about the wellbeing of the singer.

The suit claims that AEG failed to alter the singer’s hectic schedule to accommodate visible physical issues that could have been indicative of a larger problem.  Prior to his death, Mr. Jackson looked to be disoriented and even drugged.  He also suffered from shivering on June 24.

The wrongful death lawsuit will attempt to recuperate damages for the emotional toll that Mr. Jackson’s fatality has had on his children and mother.
